Kenneth Lieberthal is Professor of Political Science and Research Associate of the Center for Chinese Studies at the University of Michigan. He is the coauthor of Policy Making in China (Princeton 1988). David M. Lampton is President of the National Committee on U.S.-China Relations and the editor of Policy Implementation in Post-Mao China (California 1987).
